Replaced the leaking skylight and flashings – replaced the out of the box under flashed kitset flashings with Wakaflex which is a far more robust watertight solution to cope with NZ weather and coastal conditions.

Replaced “out of the box under-flashed kit set flashing” with a more robust watertight solution to suit NZ / Wellington weather conditions. Over-flashed systems (as shown in the photo) are used by all reputable builders and roofers here in New Zealand.

The old skylight was installed sideways causing drainage issues as it was not designed for this angle.

We installed Wakaflex flashing which is a better solution for this installation to guarantee a robust watertight seal.

The before photos are the multi-panel ones – we removed panels and made them into single-panel skylights.
